Evolve Dance Academy History

Evolve Dance Academy was established in 1999 as The Victoria Jane School of Dance by Victoria Jane Hughes in Radlett and St Albans, Hertfordshire. Victoria offered classes to all ages in Disco Freestyle, Rock n Roll and Street Dance taking pupils all across the UK to complete in reginal and national ISTD Dance Competitions.

In September 2016 the school was taken over by Tina, a teacher who had taught very closely with Victoria since 2012. In keeping with the school’s excellent standards of teaching in a professional, fun, friendly and safe environment the school continued to expand with the introduction of new dance genres as well as GCSE Dance to all pupils.

In January 2019 the school was given a new look and officially changed names to become Evolve Dance Academy “a professional academy with all dance genres under one roof” and moved into its very own dance studio!

In September 2022 EDA was taken over by Born 2 Boogie with Tina’s teacher Miss Tash taking over the school as the school’s principal. Tina relocated to Surrey taking EDA to a new location.

Evolve Dance Academy now offers private lessons for both children and adults, first dance lessons, bar and bat mitzvah classes and birthday parties in the following areas: Hertfordshire, Essex, Buckinghamshire, Surrey, Bedfordshire, Central and Greater London.

Victoria and Tina still remain very close friends as well as Tina supporting Tash with her teaching.
